Steve Perry is an American singer and songwriter, best known as the former lead vocalist of the rock band Journey. Renowned for his powerful, emotive voice, Perry helped define Journey's sound during their peak in the late 1970s and 1980s, with hits like "Don't Stop Believin'," "Open Arms," and "Faithfully." Often called "The Voice," his distinctive tenor has earned him critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. After leaving Journey, Perry pursued a solo career and returned to music in 2018 with the album Traces following a long hiatus.
